Mr. Ferritto is a board certified Physician Assistant who specializes in dermatology.
He is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He has a Bachelors in Vocational Education and Training from the University of Southern Illinois and both a Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Nebraska. With 23 years as a Physician Assistant, he has a broad spectrum of experience including Family Practice, Urgent Care, Emergency/Trauma Medicine and Executive Medicine. He has worked the last 11 years in dermatology. Frank’s primary focus is medical dermatology with specific interests in surgery, advanced acne, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis.
Frank is a 25 year veteran of the United States Coast Guard, retiring from active duty in 2005. He had the distinction of being selected as the first Coast Guard Medical Officer to serve as a member of the White House Medical Unit. Upon his retirement, he received our nation’s highest non-combat military award, The Defense Distinguished Service Medal, for accomplishments while serving as a member of the White House staff.
Mr. Ferritto is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, North Carolina Dermatology Association, Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants.
Frank has three children and two grandchildren. He spends his free time traveling, participating in various sports, physical fitness, and attends Wave Church in Virginia Beach.
